BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND 2nd – 4th May
Pop down on the early May Bank holiday weekend and celebrate 13 years of Mac and Penny at The Old Crown.
All weekend we will be be bringing back some of Penny’s original and signature dishes from the early days. We will have specials running across the weekend, with a fully dedicated Menu made up of OG dishes on the Monday.
We will also have Live Music taking us through late afternoon (hopefully in the sunshine) from Marcus Pike, starting at 6pm on Sunday 3rd May. We hope to see you there!
OLD CROWN BEER FESTIVAL – Sat 23rd – Mon 25th May
Come and join us late May Bank Holiday weekend 23rd-25th for our annual festivities. we have a fun packed weekend of food, music, beer and entertainment for all the family.
Saturday
Our Beer tent opens with a selection of real ales, and the kitchen will be open all day (12-9pm) serving our full menu alongside some specials.
From 5pm SUFFOLK PIZZA COMPANY will be serving fantastic Neopolitan fired pizza from their Horse Box Pizza Truck!
Join us for a song and dance under the marquee with KARAOKE & DJ from 6pm
Sunday
We will be Serving up a feast with our ANNUAL HOG ROAST from 12pm.
Live Music from Mike Allen-Pugh from 12pm with his acoustic covers.
Then from 2pm we have the incredible AMANDINUS with their exciting blend of roots-rock and country-soul music, with vintage tunes and up tempo rocking taking you through the afternoon!
Monday
Bank Holiday is our Family Day and we’ll be serving up classic BBQ food from 12pm.
To entertain everyone, Rocky’s Animals return with their petting zoo, from 12pm-1pm, and this year it’ll be bigger than ever, with even more animals!
We also have Magic & Mayhem from Chris Maynes World of Magic from 12pm. Chris will be showing a marvelous magic show, making balloon sculptures, and performing circus tricks and bubble fun!
Then rounding of the weekend we have live music from the talented James Burrage from 3pm.

Our monthly themed evening continue this month and this one is for the Carnivores!
Join us for our Steak Night. Chef has selected some delicious cuts of beef including a fantastic Cote de Boeuf for two, alongside a selection of sides and sauces for you to pick among. Yes for one night only we will be serving Chips!

SPANISH TAPAS NIGHT – THUR 19TH JUNE
This Month’s Supper Club takes us to Spain.
We have a Delicious Tapas menu on offer on the 19th June. The chefs have put together a selection of meat, fish and Vegetarian tapas dishes for you to enjoy including the likes of Albondigas, Gambas Pil Pil, Patatas Bravas and many more.
ITALIAN SUPPER CLUB – THUR 15TH MAY
One Thursday of every month, we will be celebrating and showcasing a different cuisine. This May we will be enticing you with the delights of Italy!
Our Head Chef has carefully put together a set 3 course menu inspired by the flavours and cooking of Italian cuisine.

Kick the weekend off with live music from 3pm starting with rock ‘n’ roll classics from The Wanderers, followed by Gareth with his live loops, blistering guitar solos and big vocals.
Sunday
Chill and Relax, Sundays are made for delicious food and laid back tunes. Enjoy our Annual Hog roast from 12.30pm, local beers and music from Benjamin White and Phil Lagos, throughout the afternoon.

This year we excited to bring you a petting zoo from Rocky’s Animals! Between 12.30 – 1.30pm we will have Goats, Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Tortoise, Snake, African Pygmy Hedgehog, Bearded Dragon, Gecko and a Chicken for people to hold and see.
