We are all so excited to be able to welcome our lovely customers back to The Old Crown as of this Saturday, 4th July.
In line with government guidelines there will be some regulations in place to keep our staff and customers safe so please do read below carefully before planning your visit.
Firstly, and most importantly, please do not visit us if you or a member of your household is feeling unwell or showing symptoms. We hope to be open for a long while so we’ll still be here when you feel better.
As expected the pub will be operating at a reduced capacity to allow for appropriate social distancing. This means we will only be able to serve people who have pre-booked – this includes drinkers and outside areas.
Our opening times for drinking will continue to be 12pm – 10:30pm but food will be served from 12pm-2:30pm then 6pm-8:30pm. There will be a reduced menu (example below) to allow for social distancing in the kitchen and we will not be serving Sunday Lunch for now.
Customers will only be served at their tables, including for drinks, please do not approach the bar. All customers will also be asked for their contact details on arrival in line with government regulations.
Our staff will be wearing PPE and sanitising stations will be situated throughout the pub, including on tables. Bathrooms and tables and chairs will be cleaned regularly and all staff have been trained on reducing infection.
Our staff will be making sure that everyone adheres to these regulations and we will be asking anyone not complying to leave the premises. We hope you all understand this is for the best interests of you, our customers and our hard-working staff.
